Weekend Wine

Some of you may remember,a while ago, mummy bean picked some home-grown damsons  and made them into wine.

It went something like this:

It was very messy. Now, four months later, it’s ready to bottle, so today we bottled the damson wine.

Now we have to wait another six months before it’s ready to drink. Mummy bean says I have to wait eighteen years for mine. I’m not sure that’s fair! Sigh; the life of a little bean is very hard sometimes.

    That’s so cool. I made mead once, and have the material to do it again. I think the old ways of doing things should be preserved, and even taught in schools. This includes canning, pickling, smoking meats, sourdough, and many others. We may be faced with an electrical failure one day, and it’s nice to know how to get by.
